Carp, widely thought of as a “trash fish” here in the states were brought from Asia for Asian grocers to sell. But why do they often carry such a negative connotation? After all they fight like hell and are loads of fun, especially in this instance.

In the meantime, maybe we should change their names soon, so our minds don’t associate carp with crap anymore.

Walt Hunter reports from Ocean City, NJ where small jellyfish-like creatures are washing up on the beach in large numbers.
