Last week, we featured a post detailing the proposed bill HB 309 under “MONTANA STREAM ACCESS”. The bill redefines many Montana streams as “ditches”, and due to current stream access law hundreds of miles of excellent trout water would be off limits to anglers. The Montana House passed the bill, and the Senate Agriculture Committee is scheduled to hear public comments at 3:00 on Thursday, March 3rd at the state Capital building. There needs to be a big turnout in order to impress the committee, so spread the word and come support your rights to recreate on public water!
