Patagonia Bowery presents:
George Greenough’s Inner(Lost) Limits of Pure Fun
THURSDAY, AUGUST 14, 2014
DOORS 7:00 PM, SCREENING 7:30 PM
Join us at Patagonia Bowery for a screening of never-before-seen footage from surfing icon George Greenough.
Filmmaker and innovative board designer George Greenough was a pioneer in the art of surf cinematography—the first to capture a surfer’s point of view from inside the tube. He recently discovered, edited and narrated 20 minutes of lost 16-mm wave-riding footage from the late 1960s.
Surfer Devon Howard will host the evening, which will begin with a slide show followed by the screening. An event poster designed by Leo Basica will be sold—all proceeds will benefit a local environmental nonprofit.
Refreshments will be served and music played by That Work.
This event is free.
