Kyle Jensen: Where to find them in Utah Posted on March 14, 2014July 13, 2017 Wednesday I was on my way to Provo, Utah to hang with some guys at the IF4 film your. While there the talk was about big fish and where to find them in Utah. I live in Logan, Utah and to be honest haven’t caught many good fish there. The guys all said Logan is the place to be to catch big fish. I was in disbelief, until I saw a picture of a massive rainbow that devoured a mouse. All night I couldn’t stop thinking about a monster bow just slamming a mouse and trying to put my finger on the place it could be. Fast forward to this morning and all I could think about was finding the spot. I ventured out in to the marshes in search of spring creeks that could hold a big trout but to no success. The sun was hot and I was getting bored of searching so I decided to look for feeding carp in the shallows. The water was dead. On to the next spot and the same situation. No carp. Finally I packed up and hit the road, I was on my way up to my parents house for the weekend. I crossed over a bridge and boom! A tail! I quickly pulled over and set up my rod. I threw my waders on but didn’t want to put on my soaking boots so I just waded into the mud without them. The fish was feeding and I knew I had a chance. The 3rd cast and I was hooked up! It was a big carp for the early march! It wasn’t a massive trout but I’m not complaining! Share this article
