EVERGLADES CITY, Fla. (AP) — Jose Wejebe, ‘Spanish Fly’ fishing show host killed in small plane crash. Authorities say it appears the host of a popular fishing show was killed when his single-engine plane crashed in southwest Florida.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office reports that a small plane owned by Jose Wejebe crashed into a field around 5 p.m. Friday, shortly after taking off from an Everglades City airpark.
