Marcus Mattioli is the manager at the Ashland Fly Shop in Ashland, Oregon and is an avid spey fisherman, writer, and photographer. When he’s not behind the counter at the shop or doing a fly tying video, he can often be found on the local rivers in Southern Oregon and Northern California with a spey rod in his hands and a camera in his backpack. He focuses particularly on capturing wild steelhead, the environments they live in, and the small clan of people who are persistent enough to pursue them with a swung fly.
