The mission of this task force is to develop a federal strategy for managing the nation's waterways. All they've released is an interim report that discusses what their goals are new guidelines for fishing policies. This report outlines their interest in conservation and setting policies for protecting our waters, which includes commercial fishing policies that are threatening to deplete our food supply and negatively impact our ecosystem. And if you had bothered to actually read the report you'd find that it doesn't say one thing about recreational fishing, or any plans to curtail it. The best part of this fear-mongering is that this author and all other media sources who picked up this story are doing their damnedest to tie it directly to Obama's bloodthirsty drive for world-dominance. But for those of you who still aren't convinced, just remember the central point that contrary to the ESPN article, this isn't a Bill, there is no bill, it's a preliminary report on protecting our waterways from unethical commercial fishing practices.There is no evidence whatsoever supporting the claims of recreational fishing impact.
