When approached to write a bio the first thing that goes through my head is surprise and stoke. The next is, well, nothing. I can’t ever think of anything witty to say about myself and I’m not comfortable talking myself up. I’m just a guy who likes to fish and shoot photos. Like everyone else, I live out of a backpack, fish over a hundred day’s year while bouncing from water to water living off peanut butter and jelly sandwiches – and Red Bulls.

To me, fishing, and photography, is about many things, right now in my life it’s about the inspiration of the unknown. The size of fish, usually, isn’t the target, but a foreign destination is. Sometimes my friends and I pack up for a few days, open the map, point and head out. Some of the most memorable adventures happened this way. My photography is somewhat similar, it’s all pretty random. I’m sure, just like fishing, it will evolve and change course over time. I’m very much OK with that, I have a lifetime to enjoy the attempts and fails of having fun, why rush it.

I had a fantastic year chasing fins while traveling with my friends. I was lucky enough to see a few new places and visit some old welcoming waters. Lately I’ve been trudging through the snow and enjoying a quiet winter. After a busy year, it’s nice to get back home and recharge. The near future is still uncertain. I have a few projects under construction, which I hoping work out. Regardless, I’m excited about the upcoming season and its endless possibilities.
