A little about me, I was born and raised in the Gallatin Valley of Montana. I started college in MSU’s engineering department, after 2 years, head over flowing with pointless equations, I turned sideways and headed to the School of Photography in little Powell Wyoming’s Northwest College. After graduation I spent a summer slinging drinks at my great uncle’s bar, the Pipeline Club in Valdez Alaska. I moved back to the Gallatin Valley and skimmed thru the next year on random photo/construction jobs. My biggest achievement was becoming a trout bum, I fished more thru the fall/winter/spring, then I ever had in my life. And although I fished some growing up, I wasn’t ever immersed in it. I had a couple pals I grew up with who had started guiding in the area, and we were all on the same schedule, work when you can’t pay for gas, and fish when you can. My passion for the challenge of fooling fish, and for chasing the light grew. And that’s where I find myself now, enjoying this beautiful place we call “God’s Country”.
Hope you enjoy.
Thanks again to B and The Greek for putting out a great magazine and everybody else involved. -Lance Sorensen
